What to expect on a workshop

  • 1 to 1

     FULL DAY

    Whether you're a complete beginner or know your way around your camera, my one 2 one tuition will cover all your needs. These will normally be held at a suitable location and where possible include a sunrise or sunset.  The exact location will be decided after taking into account seasonal changes to enable us to optimise available light.  Included will be 8 hours of individual tuition and transport between locations. The day will include some walking but this can be adjusted depending on fitness levels.

    Use of ND filters

    Composition

    Working with light to add impact

     Price: £300

    ½ DAY

    These are the same as above but only of 5 hours duration and would normally include sunrise depending on the time of year.

    Dates are flexible whilst avoiding pre-booked workshop days

  • group workshop

    To keep the experience personal and immersive, each workshop is limited to just three participants. With such a small group, I can give everyone the time, guidance, and support they need to truly connect with the night sky.

    We’ll spend around eight hours together — enough time to explore the landscape, master the basics, and, where possible, enjoy the magic of a sunset or sunrise on location. When the moment calls for a change of scenery, transport between locations is included, so you can focus on the experience rather than the logistics.

    If you’ve never witnessed the Milky Way with your own eyes, this workshop is your invitation.
    We’ll step away from the city glow, under dark skies filled with detail and colour, and create photographs that capture the magic of the night.

    Whether you want a star-lit self-portrait, your first long-exposure image, or the chance to try advanced gear before buying it, I’ll guide you through every step.
